 | Lot #2187 POLAND The Katyn Massacre 1940 (17.1) Soviet 20k stationery card from a Lt. Col. Wladyslaw Ignacy Michalski, dated 22.12.39 and sent from Starobelsk to Lvov; also a censored back portion only of a cover from a Capt. Walenty Walkowiak, sent from 30.12.40 and apparently returned to sender. Both of these Polish officers were listed as Prisoners of War in Starobelsk Camp and were murdered nearby April-May 1940.
