These stamps were used on letters on board of the Admiralty ships, only 20 known

1858 Private Steamship stamps, Piroscafi Ottomani label ("Po Pe" - Porto Piastre) in carmine, with "3 3/4" inserted by hand, margins all around, used in 1860 on outer FL from Constantinople to Brousse, with black "P P" and anchor handstamp, blue Bonnal E Freres Cie handstamp on back, filing folds away from the stamp, v.f., signed Chiavarello. This cover is illustrated in Ringstrom & Tester, vol. 2 (p.118), and is the only one recorded with this 3 3/4 rate (among the 20 covers known)
