| Lot #727 ITALIAN STATES Lombardy-Venetia 1850 30c red brown (bruno rossatro), type I, horizontal strip of eight, large margins all around, tied by Mantova 5 Mag.(1851) postmarks on large registered outer FL, paying 240c and addressed to The Court of Appeals of the Lombardy Province in Milano, with additional 30c single stamp (margins to touching on two sides) affixed on reverse to pay registration fee and tied by three strikes of "Raccomandata" hs, cover with various filing folds (affecting two stamps), wax seals removed from back, still very presentable for an item this large, with Milano 6 Mag. arrival pmk, signed Ing.
