GUATEMALA
1879 (Dec 28) official mail, cover endorsed "Fr. Paid", handed to the British consul at Guatemala City who forwarded it London, where two British 1sh adhesives (plate 11, right and left wing margin singles) were added (tied by "10" numeral cancels of London City, used for outgoing mail) for onward transmission to Constantinople, with London (Jan 28) and British Post Office Constantinople (Feb 5, 80) arrival cancels in red on back. The 2sh rate corresponds to 4 reales for a single rate cover to a U.P.U. member country, small cover tears, otherwise fine and unusual combination, especially to Turkey
