GUATEMALA
1859 (2.11) via Belize (British Honduras), outer FL from Guatemala to Manchester, via Belize, rated 1r on back, paying postage to Belize only if sent by commercial ship, with boxed "Franco" partially covered by the British 6p adhesive cancelled "AO6", added by Antonio Mathe, acting as Forwarding Agent, who also applied his cachet "Received & Forwarded by Antonio Mathe, Belize Honduras" on back. In 1857 the first regular post office was opened at Belize as a branch under the G.P.O. London and British stamps were introduced in 1858, with numbered "AO6" obliterators. In 1860, the British stamps were withdrawn and handstamps were brought into use until 1866. A fine and very rare cover, stated to be one of only two recorded (one other to France)
