 | Lot #744 ITALIAN STATES Sardinia 1862 (24.7) large part of a folded letter (side flaps missing) franked with single 20c blue and vertical pair of 40c Victor Emmanuel (Sass.15Da,16E), tied by S.Pier D'Arena cds, prepaying the 1 Lire single weight letter rate to Lagos ("Guinea, Africa"), via the French and British mails, with red 25 July French entry and London August 4 transits, also various transit and arrival pmks on back, filing folds and minor flaws, otherwise fine and colorful cover to a most unusual destination, with 2008 Colla certificate ("only known cover to Lagos")
