East and South West Africa, Samoa, Mariana, Marshall Islands etc., with some forerunners, interesting group of "Marine Schiffspost" collateral material incl. a telegram from the Kaiser awarding the "pour le Merite" to Captain and crew of the Gunboat "Iltis" for their part in the action against the Chinese Taku Forts (June 17, 1900), also a hand-drawn map showing the assault on the Forts, plus various cards from the "Iltis", including one from Hong Kong, also German New Guinea Company cover commercial mail from Samoa, Caroline Islands etc., arranged and partly written up on pages, mostly fine or better
