ALBANIA Postage Dues
1914 (8.4) cover sent unfranked from Tirana to Durres (10.4). It was picked up from the post office more than one month later when postage due was paid, with the addition of the full set of postage due stamps, tied by Durres (12.5) cds. Due to great interest in the first set of postage dues, a second printing (16.4) was prepared, but not sold to the public. The only way to obtain these stamps was to send unfranked mail, in most cases to Durres (at that time the capital of Albania), where the stamps were printed. An interesting item, with 2008 Graf cert.
