1812 FL from Vilnius (14 Sept) sent by a surgeon with Napoleon's Army to a colleague in Clairvaux, France, bearing a red "No.20 Grande Armee" handstamp (struck upside-down at bottom), v.f. The Grande Armee crossed the Niemen River on 23rd June and entered Vilnius on 28th July. By the 14th of September, Napoleon was already in Moscow
