| Lot #456 FRANCE 1872 cover (opened for display) from Boulogne sur Mer (6 Dec), via Brindisi, with red "Paris a Modane" (7 Dec) transit to Madras, with oval Sea Post Office, Fort St.George, Bangalore transits and Madras (1 Jan, 73) arrival pmks. Cover franked with four diff. adhesives incl. 5c, 30c, 80c and 10c (1.25fr), redirected on arrival to Palaveran (3 Jan) with Indian 1/2a pasted over the French 10c and bent at the corner to show the stamp underneath, interesting item for a collector of "Trains on Stamps" as it traveled through the Mount Cenis Tunnel by rail
