1917 (30.7) Red Cross postcard sent by a Russian Officer, prisoner of war in Austria to Petrograd, addressed to "mister Prime Minister and Military Dictator of Russia Kerensky", with a perfect arrival strike of "Republic Chancellery" 13.9.17 postmark. During the period of the "Russian Republic", the State Chancellery post office at the Winter Palace continued to function (March to October only), but the postmark itself was changed to reflect the new circumstances. It was abolished after the October Revolution. An interesting, historical item, minor creases, with censor markings. Stated to be the only known item of mail addressed to Prime Minister Alexander Kerensky

Railroad Station" registry label, franked on back with block of 6x200r star surcharges, sent to Baku, with arrival pmk
