 | Lot #175 RSFSR COLLECTION OF POSTAL RATES IN RSFSR 1917-23 Specialized award-winning collection (8-frame exhibit), 224 covers or cards, written up on 128 pages. After the October Revolution, postal rates were changed 23 (!) times until 1923 when the "gold" standard went into effect. Until then, Imperial and RSFSR stamps were used, as well as stationery entires and postal cards, postal savings and revenue stamps, officials and whatever else could be found. This collection includes a virtually complete representation of postal rates during the 23 different periods, covering rates for postal cards and letters, both ordinary and registered, as well as airmail and international tariffs.
