When the employees noticed the error they purchased a replacement sheet and kept the error for themselves. Only 95 of the original 100 errors have been accounted for, with the others presumably used on mail or lost. Given the recent prices for the "Inverted Jenny" (not to mention the realizations for blocks of four), this invert is significantly undervalued.
