 | Lot #1031 GREAT BRITAIN Officials 1891-1900 Government Parcels, 1sh carmine rose and green, overprint inverted, used on "Mount Pleasant, Parcel Office, London" piece, tied by black London grid cancel, bright colors, little peripheral toning, fine, with 1950 Royal and 1990 BPA certs. Soon after the release of the 1sh Gov't Parcels, a copy was discovered with an inverted overprint. Initially, there was much debate as to the authenticity of the error, but upon discovery of this particular stamp, the credibility of the error was firmly established.
