 | Lot #808 MEXICO U.S. SHIPS - 1868-69 Wells Fargo 1868 FL from Mazatlan, April 2 to Mexico City, originally placed inside another letter carried by a Pacific Mail Steamship Co. ship to Acapulco where it was forwarded by "Dualda Lezarraga" who affixed an 1861 adhesive (2r black on pink, without district name) and placed it in the mail, with 17th April arrival pmk. This is the only recorded provisional usage of 1861 2r from Acapulco, with 1991 Mepsi cert.

 | Lot #809 MEXICO U.S. SHIPS - 1868-69 Wells Fargo 1869 Cover from Mazatlan, with 3c U.S. Wells Fargo Paid entire cancelled by blue "Wells Fargo Mazatlan Mexic. Nov." strike, also with 12 centavos Mexican stamp at bottom tied by November 15 Franco Mazatlan datestamp, addressed to San Francisco. The Wells Fargo frank includes "Paid over our Mexican and California Express --25 Cts", which probably explains the absence of the usual 7 cents due, fine mixed franking
