 | Lot #741 MEXICO FRENCH SHIPS - 1873-77 Mixed Frankings 1873 FL from Veracruz, January 20 to Spain, franked with 6c Hidalgo (1868 Issue), which by that date was invalid, tied by private cds (fraudulent use), sent via the French Consular Office, with 80c perforated Empire adhesive was added over the Mexican stamp and tied by anchor in dots postmark. Cover was conveyed per steamer "Nouvelle Monde" arriving in Santander, February 16th (Santander was added to the Ligne B itinerary in February 1872). The 80c franking paid way to Spain where 1 peseta postage due was assessed for internal postage, black "P.P." (paid to port) handstamp, fine and rare mixed franking with postal fraud, signed Calves
