1898 cover to USA, franked with combination of 1897 New Currency surcharges, small figures on Small Dragon 2c on 3ca, also Dowagers 1c on 1ca, plus large figures (both 1.5mm and 2.5mm setting) 2c on 2ca, also 1c on 3c Red Revenue, plus Imperial Chinese Post 2c, all tied by Shanghai Jan.14, 98 dollar chops, sent via the Japanese Post Office where 10sen Koban was added and tied by "Shanghai IJPO 19.1.98" cds to pay for the overseas transmission at the uniform 10c rate (introduced on 1 Oct.97), with red "Prepaid in Full" hs applied below. The reverse of the cover bears large Yokohama 25 Jan.98 and Boston, Mass. Feb.18 transit pmks, with Fairfield, Maine arrival. A very rare cover with a combination of the elusive Red Revenues and Small Dragon surcharges
