Aug 29" cds, exchanged at Houlton, Me, with red "U. States" horseshoe handstamp, also Woodstock (9.3.57) transit and Fredericton (9.5.57) arrival on reverse, minor edge wear and file creases, well away from the stamps which are in exceptional quality, v.f. and extremely rare usage to New Brunswick, Canada (as noted on reverse of the cover by a handwritten pencil notation by Sir Nicholas Waterhouse stating that it was purchased at auction in 1946 and soon after exchanged for a Scott No.1-2 combination cover, worth a considerable amount today), ex-Waterhouse and Mayer collections (illustrated in Frajola and Mayer, p. 91, fig. 7-6)
