MONGOLIA
1903 (ca) registered red-band cover from Da Qing Chang Ji Company in Urga to a correspondent company in Kalgan (Chinese script), with red directional mark "Kalgan" in Cyrillic script, franked with 7k dark blue, tied by "Urga" type 4 with incomplete date. Date of receipt (14th day, 9th moon in lunar calendar) and remarks concerning accounts rendered in Chinese brushwork over space formerly occupied by another 7k stamp, indicating that this stamp has been detached during transit or on receipt. The cover is cited and its registration label ("Urga No.467") on page 568 of "Stamps of the Russian Empire used Abroad Part 6 (1960), wrongly stated however, to bear two single 7k stamps, fine
