| Lot #3 The "Dot After 10" Printing Error 10k brown & blue, left sheet margin single, cancelled by pen, fine. This is the most important variety of Plate I. Franz Kepler, the German engraver who designed the plate, inserted a dot following "10" to read as "10.kop". While this waslogical in the German language, it was not accepted and the dot was eliminated from the plate.
