1919 Hawker, 3c red brown, bottom left corner margin single, traces of original gum and of "JAR" initials (which partially show through the perforations at upper right margin), fine and extremely rare positional piece. While only 76 unusedexamples are believed to exist, only a handful are known with margin, with 2002 BPA cert. A v.f. copy brought $26,400 (incl. buyer's premium) in our November 2005 sale (SG 142)

1927 De Pinedo, the complete setting of the overprint "Air Mail De Pinedo 1927" in red, pane of 50, roughly perforated paper, with instructions on reverse in pencil and pen, also the printer's record of the overprinting of the De Pinedo stamps, dated May 1927, some creases and perf. separations, nevertheless a fine example of this unique proof sheet, used in the Stamp Forgery Trial in St. John's in 1934, illustrated in the 1953 "Newfoundland Air Mails" by C.H.Harmer
