1852 insured letter from Bologna to Paris, franked with 5b, 2x8baj and a horizontal pair of 50baj ultramarine, the latter with large margins all around, cancelled by diamond grids, with Bologna 20 July, 1857 departure pmk alongside, two strikes of "PD" in red, also French entry pmk at bottom, bold "Assicurata" in black. The pair of 50baj is in excellent condition, with Diena and Bolaffi certs, catalogue value is for used pair, not priced on cover. A major world-class rarity
