Lot #1106
Colombian Air Post
1919 overprint, well centered and fresh, dried gum as often, well centered and v.f. An unusually nice example of this air post rarity, various hs guarantee marks, with 1958 PFC. Only 200 copies of this overprint were issued for the experimental flight from Barranquilla to Puerto Colombia. Approximately 160 were used on covers. Overprinting was done in horiz. strips of 10, which were severed by knife, causing most of the stamps to be defective. Cat. value for a faulty copy
