Ob." pmks, with additional strike on front, envelope with "H.M.S. Daphne" imprint, Plymouth 8 July 98 (a voyage of almost 19 months) arrival pmk, fine. Kamchatka, a penninsula larger than Japan, took over one year to reach in the 19th century. Petropavlovsk, the capital was founded by Admiral Bering who named it after his ships (Peter & Paul)
