| Lot #1175 CAPE OF GOOD HOPE Mafeking Siege. 1905 Sir Baden Powell, ALS (four-page letter) dated Oct.17, 1905, with 32, Princess Gate S.W. address imprinted at top, to Sir Pendon, signed "B.Baden Powell", fine. Baden Powell served in India and later commanded thedefense of Mafeking in the Boer War. He is best known however as the founder (1908) of the Boy Scouts and with his sister Agnes of the Girl Scouts (1910)
