| Lot #584 Colombian Air Post Issues 1919 2c carmine rose with First Experimental Flight overprint, pos.9, well centered, h.r., v.f., without usual faults, signed Champion etc., with 2002 PFC. Only 200 copies of this stamp were issued and 160 were used on the experimenal flight from Barranquilla to Puerto Colombia. Overprinting was done in horiz. strips of 10; after they were severed with a knife usually damaging the perfs. This copy is exceptional.
