From Asia there are selections of China, Laos and Vietnam. South American countries are also well represented, with a good showing of Inverted Centers from all parts of the globe. BRITISH COMMONWEALTH INDIA Flight Covers
1928 (28 Sep) Baron von Huenefeld Berlin to Tokyo Flight, Calcutta to Bangkok Leg, card franked with 1/2a and 1a George V stamps, tied by Park Street departure pmks, with green "Europa SS" flight cachet and violet "Baron Huenefeld" and red "Calcutta-Bangkok Baron Huenfeld", Stephen Smith's signature on back, v.f., only 46 cards carried on this leg of the flight (on 18 September 1928 von Huenefeld and Swedish pilot Karl Gunnar Lindner took off from Berlin in the "Europa" in an attempt to fly around the world. When they arrived in Tokyo on 20 October, the flight was abandoned because of poor weather conditions and Hunefeld's declining health)
