1870 (11 December) Le General Renault, flimsy envelope addressed to London, endorsed "Par Ballon Monte," paying 30c with 10c and 20c Ceres, canceled "1556" (Fourcamont), with framed "P.D." on front, handed to pilot, with excellent strike of "Republique Francaise Dartois & Yon Aeronautes du Gouvernement" in blue, arrival pmk, paper strengthening, otherwise fine, signed Bolaffi, Albert Schneider, etc., with 2002 Roger Calves certificate. A rarity (Maury 41)
