This 1,306 lot sale features United States and Possessions, with 19th & 20th Century single rarities, graded items, proofs, essays and back of the book material. A-Z countries include specialized Austria, Egypt, France, as well as Germany with a selection of WWII Occupation Issues and mail from POW Camps. Great Britain and British Commonwealth include rare singles, high values, BNA and British Africa. There are numerous rarities from Iran, Italy (with Old States and Italian Colonies), Israel, with sheets of 7-9 and J1-5, Korea, Latvia and many other collecting areas. 1879-1955 selection of 300+ postal stationery entire envelopes, cards, registered envelopes, wrappers and letter sheets, including ten blank cards from the De La Rue Archives with manuscript English, French and Arabic inscriptions in black and red ink, used to assess the quality of the card material being considered for use for the 1914 Issue; 1928-29 unused 4m Provisional postal stationery cards with "Response" and "Avec Response Payee" obliterated by black bars; and 1911 5m, 1941 6m Young King Farouk and 1953 Farouk overprinted "X" letter sheets, fine-v.f.
