1898 2c copper red, well centered, canceled by duplex on cover to Sacramento, Ca., with "Washington, D.C. June 17, 98" cancel alongside, Sacramento, June 29 arrival on back, stamp with faint toning around the perforations and bent upper right corner, cover with small tear at top, otherwise fine and rare 2c First Day Cover (Henry Scheuer estimates that 12-20 First Day covers are known with the 2c Trans-Mississippi Issue, plus three covers with the 2c used in combination with other denominations)
