1943 censored cover to France, Spanish & German censor markings, rare usage, fine (From 1940-1947, Miranda de Ebro, a city in northern Spain, contained the central prison camp in Spain for foreign prisoners. Some were non-Spaniards who had been captured in Spain's civil war. Some were persons who had crossed the border illegally. And, finally, some were German military personnel and collaborators who entered Spain near the end of WWII. The largest number of prisoners appears to have been French, but many nationalities were present, including Americans)
