Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821), military general and the first emperor of France who is considered one of the world's greatest military leaders. ALS, four-page folio, date-lined St. Cloud, 17 August, 1808 to his stepson Prince Eugene Napoleon (Eugene Rose de Beauharnais, Duke of Lichtenberg was the first child and only son of Alexandre de Beauharnais and Josephine Tauscher de la Piggeries, first wife of Napoleon), addressed "Mon Fils", interesting text in which Napoleon discusses the affairs of State, Austria, War in Spain, troop movements. Endorsed at bottom "Votre Affectionee Pere" and boldly signed "NAPOLEON". A rare Napoleonic letter, of historic significance
