1917-37 collection of covers and cards following 13 ships, spanning from 1909 to 1937, with small publications and relative information included. There is a 1919 cover (with letter) sent from the U.S.S. Brooklyn in Manila, addressed to the Headquarters of A.E.F. in Vladivostok, also a picture postcard of the "Brooklyn" at Vladivostok, plus volume 2 of "The Oriental Patrol", Sep.18, 1920 edition (ships and dates visiting Vladivostok), 1922 cover franked with pair of 2c, canceled "U.S.S. New Orleans" and "Vladivostok Siberia" handstamp alongside, addressed to the Philippines, also picture postcard of U.S.S. New Orleans at Vladivostok harbor, plus 1919 YMCA cover from the ship. In addition, there is officer's mail, free frank cover (plus letter of contents) from the U.S.S. Siberia address) addressed to San Francisco, with "U.S.Postal Agency Shanghai China Oct 2, 1918" departure pmk ("1" duplex applied alongside), also boxed "A. E. F. SIBERIA Censored Lieut Lester K. Ade" in violet (this was the first base censor assigned by the A.E.F. in Siberia), filing folds, fine. The Shanghai Postal Agency datestamp was applied at Vladivostok as a temporary postmark until the definitive datestamp arrived on 18th October, 1918
