1850 10c greenish bister (bistre verdatre), horizontal tete-beche pair, excellent color, ample margins except cut in at top left and right, single grid cancel, used on outer folded letter from Le Bugue to Ste Croix par Beaumont, with departure (20 Aug 1850) cds alongside, backstamped the next day on arrival, filing folds and reduced side flaps, well away from the stamp, rare tete-beche on cover, with 2012 Roumet certificate (YT 1, €47,500)

1891 two autographed notes (Rue de Bruxelles, 21bis), each signed by Emile Zola, accompanied by the original envelope, addressed in Zola's hand, franked with 15c Type Sage, fine-v.f. (Emile Edouard Charles Antoine Zola (1840-1902) was a French novelist, playwright, journalist, the best-known practitioner of the literary school of naturalism, and an important contributor to the development of theatrical naturalism. He was a major figure in the exoneration of the falsely accused Alfred Dreyfus, which is encapsulated in the renowned newspaper headline "J'accuse".
