 | Lot #2103 RUSSIA - ZEMSTVO PENZA 1899 (17 Mar) combination cover (opened for display) from a village within Penza district to Warszawa, franked on back with local 3k red brown, tied by two framed "Zemskaya Pochta" handstamps applied in form of a cross, sent via the Imperial post, where 7k was added and cancelled by corresponding Penza cds, additional departure pmk on front, with Warszawa (20 Mar) arrival, also blue crayon and 16 Oct. 1912 datestamp (archival?), fine. Only eight covers are known from Penza, this being the only one sent Poland  Catalog #3 | Price Realized $3,250.00 |
