 | Lot #2099 RUSSIA - ZEMSTVO OSA 1898 (20 Mar) registered, double weight combination cover from village of Dubrovka volost (Osa district, Perm province) to a high ranking official in Pallinitsa village in the Viatka district, franked on back with a horizontal pair of 2k carmine rose, tied by two strikes of "Osinskaya Zemskaya Pochta" in oval, paying 21k via the Imperial Post office, where three 7k adhesives were added and tied by Osa cds (22 Mar), arriving in Viatka (26 Mar), with "Vecher" (evening) handstamp, transferred to Zemstvo post, with "Viatskyj Uyezd Zemskaya Pochta" 29 Mar datestamp, some usual cover flaws and creases, otherwise fine and apparently the only known inter-district Zemstvo mail from Osa, via Imperial Post to Viatka  | Price Realized $10,500.00 |
