 | Lot #2077 RUSSIA - ZEMSTVO KUZNETSK 1895 (20 May) registered combination cover (slightly reduced at top), sent from Kuncherovo village in Kuznetsk province, paying 10k with two examples of local 5k black, blue and rose, tied by "Zemskaya Pochta Kuznetskavo Uyezda Saratovkoy Guber" cds, transferred to the state post office where 14k was added on back with two Imperial 7k blue, tied by Kuznetsk Saratov cds, with arrival (26 May) pmk alongside. One of only two recorded covers paying 10k (registered rate in effect from 1880 to 1900), ex-Faberge, with penciled notation by Agathon Faberge (purchased in 1913 from Gebruder Senf, ex-Prof. Richter, Budapest collection)  | Price Realized $2,700.00 |
 | Lot #2078 RUSSIA - ZEMSTVO KUZNETSK 1900 (17 June) registered combination cover to Moscow, franked on back with local 5k black, blue and rose, tied by violet oval "Kuznetsk Sarat. Gym Zemskaya Uprava" datestamp, transferred to the state post office where 14k was paid with Imperial adhesive, tied by departure cds, arriving in Moscow two days later, cover creases and stained, otherwise fine, one of only three recorded, ex-Faberge (illustrated in "Imperial Russia Zemstvo Post," page 181) Catalog #2 | Price Realized $2,600.00 |
