| Lot #270 IRAN 1909 Coronation of Ahmad Shah, 1ch-26ch, also 1kr-4kr, plus 30kr (Service), selection of 12 different Lion Essays, last one with silver border (this stamp is showing one of the gates of Teheran, when it was a walled city), others gold border, lower values on vertically laid paper, mostly fine-v.f. Considered to be among the most beautiful stamps of Persia, these essays were prepared by Enschede printers in the Netherlands, but never released (Persiphila No. C21-32,C52). These stamps are not inverted *
