 | Lot #1730 ITALIAN STATES Lombardy-Venetia 1858 (18 June) folded letter to France, paying 1,40 Lire with machine paper adhesives including a horizontal pair of 10c black, 2x15c vermilion and 3x30c brown (one with sheet margin at left), tied by Milano 18/6 cds, with "P.D." and "Autriche 20 June" French entry pmk, both in red, also Lyon transit and St.Etienne arrival pmks on back. The lettersheet has been professionally restored along the file fold, with parts of the address portion repainted. A beautiful three color multiple franking of the first issue Lombardy-Venetia, signed Bolaffi etc., with 2007 Sorani certificate ("la lettera, con la sua rara affrancatura tricolore multipla e di note vole freschezza, e originale, ha annuli originali ed e in ottimo stato di conservazione.")
