1854-56 Crimean War, collection written up exhibition style on pages, with 27 covers or FLs including British Army (19) including Camp Balaklava, Sebastopol, one describing the battle of Inkerman, Black Sea Fleet cover posted on board H.M.S. "Terrible" in Kazatch Bay near Kamiesch, British civilian mail (cover via France to an officer Army in Crimea) French Army (4) including stampless letter from the French Naval base at Marseilles to the Capt. of the Frigate "Le Promethe" at Piraeus, French civilian mail (1), Russian civilian mail FL from Odessa, Austrian cover from the 18th Grand Duke Constantin Infantry Reg't in Bucharest, plus three letters from British soldiers (without envelopes), posted from Malta and Gibraltar, another on board the "Kangaroo" (near the coast of the Crimea), also hand-drawn copied plan of the Landing near Old Fort, Kalamita (south of Eutaporia), with some additional collateral items, postcards etc., fine-v.f. and interesting lot
