PERU Peru - Pacific War OCCUPATION STAMPS - Issued under Chilean Occupation
1881-82 Chile adhesives used in Peru, postal history selection of 46 covers or cards on pages, variety of frankings and usages, including Arica-Liverpool and Paris, also to Lima, Valparaiso, Callao-Santiago, also to Mexico, card to Italy (with Italian postage dues added on arrival), Callao-Tacna-Arequipa (free zone), with postage due markings, Callao to United States, document (Pacific Steamship Co) with 10c franking, pen cancelled and signed by the Captain, Yca to Lima (three covers, one with bisected 10c), Chilean 5c stationery entires from Yquique to Taltal, another from Pisagua to La Paza (apparently unique), cover from Lima to Paris (12 July, 1882), stated to be earliest known usage, registered cover from the Chilean Legation in Peru to Paris, coverfronts with markings of Italian Legation in Lima, scarce markings of "Pacasmayo", "Paita", "Pisco", etc.
