1833 From 1827 to 1835, French ships served Veracruz from Bordeaux, via Martinique and Haiti. Initial contract was with the "Societe Gautier et Brun", then in 1830 the same route was run by "Balguerie et Fils". A FL from Veracruz to Bordeaux, 8 November, carried by the "Antigone" and arriving (according to records) 3 January 1834. The "15" (decimes) was for sea conveyance and "16" (decimes) was rated in France. The boxed "Bordeaux Paq. Reg." is characteristic on mail conveyed by this company, fine
