1868 Outer FL (side panels missing) from Mexico City, March 13 to Coruna, Spain, with unusual 4+ reales franking ("Gothic Mexico" Issue), by "Danube" to St. Thomas and "Atrato" to the new arrival port of Plymouth (April 28th), then through France to Spain. Rated "4Rs." on arrival, possibly unique with this franking, ex-Marquis de Fayolle. The "Gothic Mexico" Issue, used only from the Mexico City region, is seldom seen on foreign mail covers; only about a dozen have been recorded, with MEPSI cert.
