| Lot #695 FRANCE 1853 1fr dark carmine, excellent color, ample margins except just in at left, used on small brown envelope, originally sent stampless from USA to Paris, where the stamp was added and tied by rectangular dots postmark and forwarded to Cairo, Egypt, showing Paris departure, blue oval "Creene & Co." business cachet, large oval "Direzione Della Posta Europea Allesandria" and French post office in "Alexandrie" arrival pmks.
